Dalton Park aims to provide an accessible outlet shopping destination for all of our customers to enjoy. We are committed to enhancing our customer experience and with this in mind, we have introduced Quiet Mornings every Tuesday from 10am to 12pm and Saturdays 9:30am to 10:30am with the aim to create a more peaceful environment for shoppers that prefer a quieter setting and sensory bags for children.

Our Guest Services team are on hand to support you and make your experience enjoyable. Find out more here.

Our Quiet Shopping Mornings take place every Tuesday, 10:00am to 12:00pm and Saturday, 9:30am to 10:30am with the aim to create a more peaceful environment for shoppers that prefer a quieter setting.

Our shops and mall music will be turned off during this time to create a more autism-friendly experience, staff will be available to support if required and there will be no announcements. Find out more here.

Our Dalton Park sensory bag was created in partnership with the North East Autism Society and is available to hire from our Guest Services Desk for a £20 refundable deposit which you will receive back once you return the bag. At present we can only take cash deposits.

We understand that for some people, shopping in an outdoor outlet centre can be a stressful experience. Our sensory bag aims to provide a relaxed and calming shopping environment.

What’s included:

  • Fidget toys: To help support an increase in anxiety
  • Ear defenders: Sounds and unseen noises can cause additional stress. Ear defenders will help lower the noise to autistic children when shopping
  • Egg timers: To give the child a countdown before moving on to the next thing
  • Sunglasses: To help dull the lighting throughout the centre

Conditions of use:

  • The sensory bag must be handed back to the Guest Services Desk
  • The child MUST be a minimum of 6 years old
  • The child/children/adult MUST only be supervised by a responsible adult (aged 18+)
  • The child/children must not be left unattended with the items at any time
  • Please report signs of wear or damage to our Guest Services team
  • The Sensory Bag must only be used in Dalton Park and is not to be taken outside of the centre

We are a dog friendly shopping destination. Along with assistance dogs, our four legged friends are now welcome on the mall areas and selected stores.
