A19/A182 Roadworks Notice: We are please to share that the major improvement scheme on the A19 is now complete.
Durham City Council worked alongside contractor Bam to increase capacity at the A19/A182 junction, near Jade Business Park, on the outskirts of Murton.
The junction is now fully operational, with more lanes introduced to accommodate future growth in the area and intelligent traffic signals that automatically optimise timings to respond to the traffic flow.
Pedestrians and cyclists can also make use of the new active travel bridge and controlled crossings over the busy A19 slip roads and B1285, with the route serving National Cycle Network 1.

From the A19 north or southbound take the B1285 which is signposted for Murton, then follow the signs for Dalton Park.

Ample FREE car parking is available for all Dalton Park shoppers with 1,500 car spaces and 7 coach bays. We also have designated electric vehicle charging points situated around The Dancing Betty and Morrisons.

The nearest train station to Dalton Park is Seaham (serviced by Northern Rail) just a 5 minute car journey away.
