What are the opening times?
Are fittings rooms available in stores?
Although government guidelines state that fitting rooms are able to reopen they have to be cleaned after each use and clothes need to be steamed or quarantined for 3 days. Some stores don’t have the staff resource to allow for this so will not be able to re-open the fitting rooms at the moment. The decision to re-open fitting rooms is down to the individual retailer so we advise if there is a particular store you are planning on visiting to give them a call in advance to check.
Stores we are aware of currently opening their fittings rooms are: Levi, Regatta, Fat Face, Designer Warehouse, Klass, Tog 24 and Gap.
Is there any seating available through the mall?
Yes, all our outdoor seating throughout the mall is back in place. Some of our coffee shops also have outdoor seating available.
Can you pay with cash?
The majority of our stores are accepting card payments only however some will accept cash. Please check with individual retailers.
We are accepting cash payments for gift cards so you can choose to purchase a gift card from customer services and use that to pay in stores that are not accepting cash at the moment. Find out more about of gift cards here.
Do I have to wear a face mask?
From Friday 24th July 2020 it became mandatory to wear a face mask in all stores unless you are exempt. This measure is still in place.
How many people are allowed in stores?
The number of people allowed into each store varies depending on the size of the store. There is clear signage in each store window showing the maximum number of customers allowed in at any time.
Are you still hiring out shopmobility equipment?
Yes. We offer wheelchair or scooter hire for visitors with additional needs. Please contact us on 0191 5266500 for further details or to place a booking. We are currently not charging for the hire of shopmobility equipment.
Are the toilets open?
Yes we have made all the toilet facilities available. You can find the facilities opposite Starbucks and opposite BB’s coffee shop. The toilets will be cleaned more regularly by our housekeeping team.
Is the children's playarea open?
No, the children’s play equipment has now been removed from the playarea. We will be installing a brand new playarea with lots of inclusive elements and interactive play. The upgrade has been planned for quite some time but the project has been delayed due to Covid. We are hoping to share the photos of the new equipment and some dates of when this will happen very soon.
Are your coffee shops open?
Yes, but all food & drink options are currently takeaway only.
Is the Cash for Clothes unit in the car park open?
Unfortunately the unit closed and this service is no longer available.
My gift card is expiring next week, and I could not use it because the centre was closed, will I be able to use this after the expiration date?
Please contact Flex-e-card who are the providers of the gift card scheme, you can find the contact details on the back of your gift card. They will extend the expiry date of your gift card to cover the period that we have been closed.
