Promise Three

Monday 19th March 2018

Our third pledge is a quest to educate staff and visitors about autism.
To mark Autism Awareness Week, Monday 26th March until Sunday 1st April, we hosted a bake sale and a ‘guess the number of sweets’ competition and raised £176.15 for the National Autistic Society.
The pledge took place on Saturday 31st March and was steered by Shelley Dixon, one of Dalton Park’s Customer Services Assistants.
She said: “When I heard Dalton Park’s 15-pledge promise, I knew I had to get involved. Autism is part of my daily life so any activity that educates, raises awareness and funds is very important to me.
“I really do appreciate any help and support given to make our event a success.”
Louise Thompson, Marketing Manager at Dalton Park, added: “We’re thrilled that different members of the team are eager to get involved with our 15-pledge promise and are more than happy for Shelley to take over on this one.
“The National Autistic Society is a cause really close to Shelley’s heart and it’s the perfect time to raise awareness and funds for the charity thought Autism Awareness Week.
“We’re very much looking forward to the bake sale and have already taken some cheeky guesses as to how many sweets are in the jar!”

UPDATE: We are pleased to confirm that £176.15 was raised for The National Autistic Society.
