Celebrating 60 years of Yorkshire based Tog 24

TOG24 was founded by Donald Ward in 1958. Their factory, based in the Spen Valley town of Heckmondwike, initially produced footwear then branched into sports bags and football kits in the 70s before finally landing on waterproofs and fleeces. As the brand grew in popularity skiwear and casual clothing were added.Whatever the product was, it had to fit their motto….
TOG24 stands for ‘Truth Over Glory Everyday’, an ethos running through each and every aspect of the company. The team at TOG 24 don’t focus on the elite “Glory” side of the outdoors, planting flags on mountains or skiing down sheer ice walls. Instead they like to remain loyal to the “true” outdoors that everybody can be involved with. Heading out to the pub with friends, enjoying a weekend dog walk or hitting the slopes on a family ski trip, TOG24’s product range caters for the entire family, whatever the activity.
TOG24 are still based in West Yorkshire and they are still very much a family firm. Donald Ward’s sons and grandsons run the company now and they still follow the original motto. TOG24 has continued to expand and in the future they hope the brands reputation for supplying high quality, value for money goods will continue to grow worldwide.
The TOG24 store at Dalton Park is celebrating the 60th anniversary with 20% off marked prices across the store from 22nd – 28th October.
There is also an in store event on 26th and 27th October with free goodie bags being offered to the first 30 customers both days. Goodie bags will include a bounce-back offer of 10% off next purchase in-store, Yorkshire Tea, Sweets & a TOG24 canvas bag.
