January is well and truly here. With the grey days still lingering, Christmas feels like it was so long ago and perhaps you’ve already caved on your new year resolutions. If you have, don’t worry; you get the chance to start again every day. Plus, who said you had to start them on 1st January?
If you are feeling energetic and motivated, then make the most of that and maybe try a new sport, or a new class you’ve always wanted to try. This time of year you won’t be the only new face at that pilates class, or that park run, so go along and give it a go.
Around the mall you’ll find lots of great offers on gym kit, whether you’re looking for new running trainers from New Balance, or some leggings from Adidas, make sure you check out all the sportswear on offer. Sports Direct is always good for some bargains too, particularly if you want to pick up any weights or equipment to use.I spotted a great selection of sportswear in New Balance. This royal blue hoody only £22 and the windcheater jacket only £40 – essential in this cold, windy weather. For the guys I spotted a great black hoody for £22, perfect for that extra layer when you’re leaving the gym.
If 2018 is the year you want to get a new job, or go for that promotion then make sure you’re dressed to impress. Next always have a great range of workwear pieces whether you need and Marks and Spencer have some hidden gems. I spotted blazers for £35, work dresses for £30 and a selection of blouses from £14. M&S also had a great sportswear range with bright training vests for £9.50 and leggings from £10.50. Definitely worth a look!
Maybe you want to read more this year. If so, get along to The Works and treat yourself to a few new books. I know I always start the New Year with a fresh diary, so make sure you check out their selection too. My top tip is to always look to buy a diary in January when they’re a little cheaper.
So you’re a foodie and you want to try to cook more this year? That sounds great. Head along to ProCook and pick up some new pots and pans and a few gadgets to help you on your way to top chef. Try brightening up the kitchen with some of their bright utensils; a full set is only £15 or you can buy individual spatulas and accessories for £5.
In a similar vein, this time of year a lot of people look at ways to be healthier and cut out sugary foods, so pop into Holland and Barrett for some vitamins and maybe try to swap that chocolate bar for some dried fruit. I’m particularly fond of dried cranberries and they make a great addition to your breakfast cereal or porridge.
Finally, if all this ‘new year, new me’ is proving difficult, then keep it simple – take time to relax and to focus on yourself. You’ve got the whole year ahead of you! Pop into The Body Shop or Beauty Outlet and pick up some bath/shower time treats. I spotted some Victoria’s Secret products in Beauty Outlet from as little as £9.
Whatever your goals are for 2018, Dalton Park can certainly help you along your way!
